| A strategic import conceptual Illustration of trade relations between Italia and Giordania, by Illustrator and Artist Yaansoon |
In April 2019, I was commissioned by the Italian Trade Agency – ITA (Agenzia ICE) to create a conceptual illustration depicting the import relations between Italy and Jordan.
The client requested a conceptual illustration for an event dubbed, “Import Strategico dalla Giordania,” which translates into “Strategic Import from Jordan.” The concept of the illustration centred on the strategic partnership between Italy and Jordan, and the Italian government’s efforts to strengthen the import of products from key sectors to boost Jordan’s economy. The artwork focused on elements that reflected the main sectors of import to Italy, and they are: Dates, Fresh vegetables & fruits, seeds, leather, and cosmetics (Dead Sea mud and salt).
ITA (referred to as ICE in Italian) requested that the strategic import conceptual illustration be adapted to the following surfaces and uses: Roll-up banner, poster, projector backdrop, social media post.
Client: The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) – Agenzia ICE (Agenzia per la promozione all’estero e l’internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane). ITA is a governmental department, part of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (Ministero dello sviluppo economico). ITA/ICE has offices in 70 countries worldwide.
Year: April 2019
Illustration Technique: I created this strategic import conceptual illustration with a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 tablet using digital brushes on Adobe Photoshop. I also created initial sketches on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 smart tablet, using the ArtFlow app. Analogue professional-grade watercolours were scanned and digitally incorporated into the illustration.
